Swagbucks

Swagbucks is the first site that I joined where I could make some extra money while at home.  I have been a member for almost 2 years now and have made about $500 with them.  Currently, my goal with swagbucks is to make $25 a month in Amazon gift cards since those are the cheapest ones you can get.

How it Works:
You sign up with your email and password, or through Facebook or Twitter.  You then will gain access to many earning opportunities.  Of all the sites I have joined, this one seems to have the most earning potential.

--- Earning Points:
There are many ways to earn points with this program.  I will list them below and tell how each work.

1. Daily Points -- You can earn up to 4 points everyday from doing the daily activities.  They are  accessed on the left side of the webpage.  They are the Daily Poll, NOSO, and Tool Bar.  The tool bar will have to be downloaded to earn your point for the day.
2. Activities -- These are found in the drop down menu titled "Discover" at the top of the page.  Many of the activities can be done more than once and consist of reading articles or watching a video.  Do not attempt to do more than one at a time or move on before credit is given.  You may loose the ability to complete this activity. 
3. Special Offers -- These are found in the drop down menu titled "Discover" at the top of the page.  I really only do the ones called "RandomOne"  They have many health related videos that are worth 1 point each and you can do them once per day.  I usually get 5 - 20 points from this. 
4. Surveys -- Swagbucks offers many surveys ranging from 20 points all the way to 500 points.  The trick is qualifying.  You will get 1 point for every survey you disqualify for up to 5 points per day.  
5. SwagTV -- This can be done both on the computer and on your mobile phone.  Each one allows you to make a max of 75 points a day.  You watch 10 videos, you get 3 points.  Each video will only count once, so you cannot watch the same video 10 times and get credit.  I rarely do this as it is very time consuming.
6. Games -- Play 10 games, get 10 points.  Each time you play a game for free, you have a "chance" to get 2 points.  I have found you get 2 points after playing 2 games.  I have never had it do otherwise.  You can also play tournaments that cost points to enter, but if you win, the reward is worth it.  I have never played a tournament because I'm not that  good at the games.
7. Shop and Earn -- I only do this when I need something off the internet.  Various stores are on here where you can shop through swagbucks and earn points back depending on the amount you spend.  For example, you want something from Amazon.  You find Amazon on the swagbucks shop and earn page, click it and shop.  You will get 3 swagbucks for every dollar you spend.  
8. Search -- You can uses swagbucks to search the web.  I do not get many points this way as I prefer to use other search engines because they will give better results.  You can win anywhere from 6 to 1000 points, though I've only won 56 at the most.  Most searches produce wins from 6-10 points.
9. Coupons -- Print and use the coupon like you would any other.  After 3 months you will get 10 points.  It works.  Be patient.  Each coupon is worth 10 points.  If you use 10 coupons, you will get 100 points.  It is that easy!
10. Swagcodes -- Every so often, a code will be released for points.  They can have any value and are only available for a small amount of time.  The Swagbuck Facebook page is a great place to find them, as well as the blog.  

--- Redeeming Prizes
Once you have accumulated enough points for the prize you want, you can redeem your points!  You will need to provide either your mailing address or you mobile phone number to verify your account before you are able to get your prize.  You only have to do this once.

1. Gift Cards -- There are MANY cards you can get ranging in price from $5 up to $500.  Just remember 1 point = $.01, so you will need 500 points for a $5 gift card.  If you redeem Amazon cards, the $5 one is only 450 points, but you can only get 5 of these in a given month.
2. Swagstakes -- Spend points on a chance to win various prizes.  I have never done this, so I can't tell you anything about it!
