Banana Pudding Dip

Banana Pudding Dip
Ingredients
8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
1 large package instant pudding mix (banana flavored or vanilla)
1 cup milk
3 Tablespoons powdered sugar
1 container Cool Whip
1 large banana, diced
10 vanilla wafers, crushed

Directions
  1. Whisk cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add pudding mix, milk, powdered sugar and 1/2 of the Cool Whip to the cream cheese and blend well.
  3. Fold in the banana chunks.
  4. Place entire mixture in a bowl and smooth it out.
  5. Spread the remainder of the Cool Whip on top of the pudding mixture.
  6. Sprinkle the vanilla wafer crumbs on top.
  7. Let sit in refrigerator until ready to serve.
Notes
Use vanilla wafers as your dipping utensil.

You can omit the powdered sugar if you like the slightly tangier cream cheese/pudding mix.  I have to mask the cream cheese taste for a family member who would not eat it otherwise.

How much does this cost?

8 oz cream cheese, room temperature = $1.00
1 large package instant pudding mix = $1.00
1 cup milk = $.24
3 Tablespoons powdered sugar = $.05
1 container Cool Whip = $1.00
1 large banana, diced = $.25
1 box vanilla wafers = $2.50

This recipe costs $6.04 to make.

I did not actually pay that much since I only paid $1.50 for the wafers and the pudding was on sale as well as the milk, but I am posting prices on the products before sale/coupon discounts.
